DevOps with Bash Programming
In this class, Scott McCarty is going to demonstrate the application of developer concepts to a systems administration project. The class will outline the design and construciton of a mass ssh client utilizing intermediate to advanced Bash syntax. To introduce Systems Administrators to the developer concepts, the class will begin with defining requirements, command line interface design concepts and best practices. Then the class will walk through the construction of a usable product using Bash and common utilities.
This class is for students that understand if/case/while and basic concepts of programming, but might not be familiar with Bash specific pieces and parts. It will be a practical example, not an exercise in demonstrating cool advanced features. As such, this is targeted toward professionals, not hobbyists.
