Aleksey Tsalolikhin

Aleksey Tsalolikhin has been a sysadmin for over 15 years and is now operating as a consultant and trainer through his company www.VerticalSysadmin.com. He is passionate about training system administrators who will ensure a stable IT fabric of civilization. Aleksey is the founder of the System Administrator Body of Knowledge web site and was awarded Mentor of Year in 2011 by the League of Professional System Administrators. He is delighted to return to Ohio Linux Fest Institute to teach Time Management for System Administrators — this course saves lives!

Mike Weilgart

Mike Weilgart has loved maths and computers all his life. Graduating high school at the age of 13, he thereafter worked in a variety of positions including software QA, calculus teacher, and graphic design, before resolving to put his love of computers to professional use as a Linux sysadmin and trainer. Mike currently consults at a Fortune 50 company as an automation specialist, and enjoys nothing more than training people to full mastery of their tools.

Donald L. Corbet

Don consults with Government and businesses to find better performance by lowering capex and opex using virtualization, private cloud and open source solutions while improving infrastructure security. He provides technical expertise to Media (Film/TV/Radio and print) and Technology vertical market space. Don is also an accomplished corporate senior executive and technical expert on Linux, UNIX, Mac, and Windows integration and support. He is a nationally known technologist, business educator and public speaker. Mr. Corbet is known to represent the ideal combination of “suit” and “tech”. He is a Linux cyber-forensics specialist in civil and felony investigations with Secret clearance. He has received numerous corporate awards for ground breaking work in customer satisfaction (ICSA), and business development. Don is listed in “Who’s Who” in: America, Education, Entertainment and others.

Background: Advisory counsel for Linux Professional Institute (LPI) and CompTIA Linux+. He is an A+, Net+, Security+ Linux, and DR/BC instructor, author, photographer, television & radio talk show host. Past Board of Directors for corporate and non-profit org. He is a recognized leader and lecturer at North American Open Source events. Don is LEAN Six Sigma certified. His creative works include featured subject matter for computer, business and technical publications including Wiley, O’Reilly Media and Brainbuzz.com

Matthew Verrette

Matthew Verrette has over 15 years in the security field, spending 9 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Communications and Network Specialist. Since leaving the Marine Corps he has spent time conducting Penetration Tests, Intrusion Detection, Incident Response, Malware Analysis and Threat Intelligence. Most recently Matthew has spent his time analyzing mobile applications and communication security.

Israel Arroyo

Mr. Arroyo is the Founder and CEO of Stealth Entry LLC, Cyber Security Solutions, a State of Ohio Minority Business Enterprise and Veteran Owned Small Business headquartered in Columbus Ohio. Stealth Entry specializes in supporting Corporate, Government, Military and Intelligence Community customers.

Israel’s past ventures also include working with the National Security Agencies Information Assurance Directorate in both his Military and Civilian Contractor roles. Israel currently supports the United States Joint Communication Support Element and United States Cyberspace Command in his Reserve Role.

Israel is an Alum from both Saint Leo University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology, and Capitol College, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Information Assurance and Graduate Certificate in Network Protection. Israel also currently holds the CISSP, GPEN, GWAPT, CEH certifications in good standing.

Chris Laco

Chris comes to us from the Akron, OH area where he’s been a programmer, webmaster, server magician and all around jack of all trades in the industry for over 22 years in various languages including Perl, Ruby, C#, VB.NET, Python and remembers what a modem and Mosaic 1.0 looks like. He is currently living the Leader lifestyle at Rackspace building OpenStack Private Clouds.

William H. Diederich

With over 25 years’ experience in Information Technology, Information Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance, including 15 plus years at senior leadership levels as a CIO, CTO and CISO, William is a veteran IT executive. President and Founder of ‘CISO for You’, William is currently engaged in numerous technology, security, governance, risk and compliance assignments for global companies and several Ohio State agencies.

William’s education and certifications include a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, a MS Degree, and CISSP, HCISPP, CGEIT, CRISC, CISA, CISM, FLMI and ATP certifications. William is also actively involved in local chapters of ISACA (Board of Directors, Central Ohio Chapter), (ISC)2, and ISSA (Board of Directors Central Ohio Chapter and Education Director).

Besides William’s leadership abilities, he is also a distinguished guest speaker focusing on the importance and value of IT training & education, and certifications in particular. In addition William is a ‘CISSP prep’ instructor for the ISSA and has received many accolades for his personal presentation style and content delivery tailored to specific audiences.

William is particularly interested in security education and training considering the Digital Skills Committee forecasted shortage of 2 Million Security Professionals world-wide by 2018.

William Benton

William Benton leads a data science team at Red Hat, where he has applied analytic techniques to problems ranging from forecasting cloud infrastructure costs to designing better cycling workouts. His current focus is contributing to and applying open-source distributed computing projects, but he has also conducted research and development in the areas of static program analysis, managed language runtimes, logic databases, cluster configuration management, and music technology. Benton holds a PhD in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin.

Michael McCune

Michael McCune is a software developer in Red Hat’s emerging technology group. He is an active contributor to several radanalytics.io projects, as well as being a core reviewer for the OpenStack API Working Group. Since joining Red Hat three years ago, he has been developing and deploying applications for cloud platforms. Prior to his career at Red Hat,  Michael developed Linux based software for embedded global positioning systems.

John Anderson

John is the VP of Technology for Infinity Interactive, a bespoke software development and technology consultancy. When he’s not maintaining Perl modules or tweaking his Emacs config, he likes to play around with new languages like Swift and write about himself in the third person.

Jim Wildman

Jim Wildman is a farm boy from central Ohio who discovered Unix in 1985 and has been involved in that world ever since. Linux came along in 1995 and lead to his first production system in 1998 (a Hylafax server). For many years, Jim was involved in with the Central Ohio Linux User Group (COLUG) and has spoken at numerous business and user group conferences including Red Hat Summit. Jim has worked in every major industry vertical and is currently employed as a Senior Solutions Architect by Red Hat, supporting accounts in Florida.
